The District

Bona Vista Water Improvement District provides culinary Water service to an area beginning on the Weber-Box-Elder County line to the North and going to the mountain on the East, to 5700 West, West of Plain City & to 3700 South where it joins the Roy City Boundary on the South.

The area served by Bona Vista includes Plain City, Farr West City, Marriott-Slaterville City, Harrisville City and a small portion of West Haven City.   Each City Council has appointed an individual to serve on The Districts Board of Trustees.  There is also one elected board member who serves from the unincorporated areas.

The District enjoys an 'Approved' status rating by the Utah Department of Health and the Division of Drinking Water.  Our field employees have obtained their Utah Operator Certification to meet state requirements with several obtaining their Backflow Certification as well.

STOP THE LEAKS

IF YOUR WATER BILL SEEMS HIGH CHECK IMMEDIATELY FOR LEAKS IN YOUR SYSTEM.  A DRIPPING FAUCET OR OTHER UNSUSPECTED LEAKS MAY BE THE CAUSE OF A HIGH BILL.  WATER WASTED AT ONLY 40 POUNDS PRESSURE THROUGH THE FOLLOWING SIZE HOLES AMOUNTS TO:

  • A 1/32" LEAK WASTES 170 GALLONS IN 24 HRS (POSSIBLE DRIPPING FAUCET)
  • 1/16" LEAK WASTES 970 GALLONS IN 24 HRS (POSSIBLE LEAKING TOILET)
  • A 1/8" LEAK WASTES 3600 GALLONS IN 24HRS (POSSIBLE LEAKING SOFT WATER UNIT)
